Amela Kurta is research assistant at the Centre for Development and Social Science Research (CDESS) where she is engaged as an associate researcher on several projects. She holds a master degree in management from School of Economics and Business, Sarajevo University and finished studies as one of the most successful students.
Amela is a member of the research team for BiHMOD, a microsimulation model for ex-ante evaluation of tax and benefit policies. She took part in several other projects dealing with microsimulation models for property tax policies. Previously she worked as a teaching assistant at School of Economics and Business, Sarajevo University on subjects: Statistics and Mathematics for Economists.
Her research interests include social policy, labour market analysis and migration.
