The overall objective of the project is to contribute to the social (education) inclusion of marginalized children, particularly Roma through building local capacities for implementing national legislation. The project aims to impact on social and educational inclusion of children from marginalized groups, through strengthening the capacity of Inter-Sectorial Committees in local communities to provide additional support for children to engage in early development and education. Additional support includes medical, social and educational services provided to the child in order to allow him/her full social inclusion and progress. Inter-Sectorial Committees (ISC) are the main mechanisms for providing additional support for the child and for monitoring their implementation.
Main Project Activities: Conducting Assessment of ISCs and mapping the types of support programmes for school children; Producing Assessment Report on ISCs in 10 selected municipalities, plus 17 ISCs in Belgrade; Organizing 2 Peer Review events; Producing and implementing capacity building program for ISCs in 10 LSGs; Organizing the disbursement, management, monitoring and evaluation of grants to 10 selected LSGs; Producing capacity building and training plan for all 156 ISCs in Serbia; Organizing trainings for 156 ISCs; Organizing two round tables for relevant stakeholders; Designing, producing and distributing info materials for parents and beneficiaries.
