Csp initiatives - Absolute Poverty and Trends in the Measurement of Poverty in Serbia

The Center for Social Policy, with the support of the Social Inclusion and Poverty Reduction Unit of Government of Serbia, prepared the study Measuring Poverty – Theoretical Concepts, Status and Recommendations for Serbia.

The study had two objectives: first, to display the terms, concepts and ways of measuring poverty, and second, to consider options and suggest measures for further monitoring of poverty in the Republic of Serbia. The study was a response to the lack of official data on absolute poverty after 2010, but also the reflection to the need for better understanding new trends in measuring poverty and its impact on the Republic of Serbia.

The author of the study is Prof. Dr Gordana Matkovic. The entire study is available at CSP web page: download pdf.
