Tanja Mrkalj is a project manager at the Center for Social Policy (CSP). The focus of her professional interests is child protection; she is in this field of work since 2013 through work in national and international non-government organizations.

She held MA in Sociology at the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade. Before joining the CSP she worked in the field of child protection at the international organization Save the Children for the North West Balkan. During the period from 2015 to 2017 she worked as a coordinator and supervisor of the Regional Child Protection Centre (RRC) program in Serbia (within the organization Center for Youth Integration and Terre des Hommes). She gained significant experience working as a supervisor at the Drop-in Shelter for children in Belgrade; and as a Child Friendly Space supervisor in Obrenovac and Lazarevac, where she worked after the floods in Serbia during 2014.

Her fields of professional interest are child protection, family protection, and the civil sector as a social protection service provider.
